About
The oldest operating bar in Beaumont. Opened in 1944 as Neva’s and is the birthplace of Starday Records. George Jones recorded his very 1st songs at this exact location! It has been Soggy Bottom Saloon since 2020 and is veteran owned. It is a real deal old school Texas Honky Tonk with a Historical Marker. Live music & Karaoke on the weekends. It is very unique with a swamp-like atmosphere inside and very friendly customers. Since purchasing in 2020 we added a huge outdoor area and the newest addition is Memorial Stage. It is amazing, one of a kind, and a must see! It features a 16x20 stage built off a 1940 WW2 gmc pickup truck. A 30x30 turf dance floor in the middle, surrounded by beautiful palm trees and a beautiful pond that surrounds it.
